City Reach 2010

On a warm, sunny September day, Jesus arrived at a parking lot in Braddock. He was accompanied by volunteers from Pittsburgh City Outreach and Valley Forge Christian College. This was the beginning of the first city reach for City Reach Church Braddock.

The volunteers prayed then set up a stage, games, and food stands for the local residents.

Curious Braddock residents walked in an out of the parking lot. They looked into the faces of the volunteers. The volunteers and residents offered warm welcoming smiles to each other.

While the setup continued in the parking lot, men from the City Reach Men's Home in Braddock roamed the city. They handed out flyers to people they passed and talked of hope and love to people sitting on their porches.

By the end of the day, the city reach was a success and new followers of Christ were welcomed.
