The Lord called us to Reading, Pennsylvania 8 years ago to reach hurting people for Christ and to be part of the transformation of this city. It was and still is a strong call, and although we have seen many wonderful things take place, we were convinced that God wanted to do so much more. We have encountered and ministered to many people with addictions and life-controlling problems.

The recovery home/ church connection of City Reach is a vital key to reaching and keeping people for Jesus. The emphasis on prayer, the Gospel and the power of the Holy Spirit to transform lives is vital as well. We love the spiritual DNA of Pittsburgh City Outreach Church that is being transferred into this new network. PCO has an oil reserve of city-reaching anointing that is being pipelined to Reading. We are already seeing awesome results. We fully expect to birth strong successful churches in Reading, and to help launch other City Reach churches in the surrounding region and throughout the nation.

City Reach Ministries Network is exactly what we have needed and still need. A network of new church plants joined together under the banner of the US Missions Department of the Assemblies of God with a specific urban strategy and a reproducible model of planting healthy, reproducing city churches.

We believe this will re-shape the landscape of our city, and other cities, as we aggressively reach out to see lives and families transformed. We know this is a God thing and we are excited to be a part of it.
